Our Story

Back in 2017, the heart of the 47 mission was born. My friend Matt Swartz and I were working for a large roofing company when we saw too many homeowners being taken advantage of by dishonest contractors. Matt wanted to change that—to help people—so he started a small company called 47 Roofing & Construction.

What began as a side project quickly grew into something bigger. Before long, we were working full time to serve our community with honesty, craftsmanship and care. By 2021, many of our roofing customers started asking us to take on their remodeling projects as well. We listened, we learned, and we helped bring their visions to life.

Today, that same foundation has grown into 47 Remodeling—a new chapter built on the same values, the same familiar faces, and the same commitment to communication and quality that our customers have always known.

At 47 Remodeling, our story is simple: do great work, treat people right and build homes—and relationships—that last.

Hello, my name is James Pulliam, and I am the proud owner of 47 Remodeling.
Family has always come first in my life and I bring that same mindset to this company. When we remodel someone’s home, it’s more than just a project—it’s about creating a space where families can feel comfortable, cared for and proud of where they live.

With over 20 years of experience, I’ve learned that details matter—and so does customer experience. Our team is committed to treating every remodel with the same care and attention we would give our own homes.

This new chapter with 47 Remodeling is exciting for us and it stands alongside our sister company, 47 Roofing & Construction. We’re so thankful for the amazing customers who have trusted us over the years and we look forward to serving many more families in the future.

  • We had a wonderful experience with 47 roofing and construction for our master bath remodel. James and Omar were awesome at overseeing the whole job and helping us understand the step by step process. When they saw the panic on my face the first day, after discovering what comes with living in a construction zone, they jumped into problem solving mode immediately. They came up with a plan to keep my house as dust free as possible, even though it made their job harder. It did not slow them down at all though, as they far exceeded the timeline! I am so thankful, as are my two babies! James and Omar were awesome but the real stars were our daily on site workers, Rodrigo and his partner!
